Ricky Wright is one of the owners of Sunbelt Business Brokers of Lafayette, Louisiana, partnering with wife Robin Wright in their newest business venture. Ricky grew up in Lafayette, working in his father’s oil field service business along with his brothers all through high school. He graduated from Lafayette High School in 1982 and was later inducted into the LHS Athletic Hall of Fame for his pole vaulting accomplishments. Spending a year and a half at Texas A&M pursuing Petroleum Engineering, he transferred to Louisiana State University and earned a Bachelor of Science in Finance. Along the way, Ricky lettered four years in college and was SEC Champion. After finishing at LSU, Ricky continued to compete nationally as well as internationally in the pole vault. The pinnacle of his athletic career was the great honor of qualifying to compete in the 1996 Olympic Trials held in Atlanta. Ricky facilitated several home-based businesses while continuing to train and compete, and delved into real estate investments before accepting the position as Credit Manager at Acoustical Specialties & Supply in Baton Rouge. He worked for the next ten years in many other areas within Acoustical’s large and diverse organization such as Marketing Director, Contract Administrator for construction projects, and Sales Manager over residential outside sales, earning the title of Vice President of Finance. Ricky and Robin took a sabbatical leave from work to cruise the Caribbean Sea on their 38’ catamaran sailing yacht. They toured the Caribbean from Panama to Grenada and up to Florida with their daughter. With a strong background in Finance and Management, and his many years of working firsthand in family businesses, Ricky is well equipped to assist business owners with the confidential nature of listing their business, as well as working closely with individuals who are looking to invest in something new.

Telles Mitchell is a graduate of Louisiana State University with degrees in Chemistry & Physics and post-graduate study in Physics and Business Administration. As a business broker for the last ten years, he has been very successful in sales of businesses ranging from multi-million dollar oilfield service companies to convenience stores to the one-man lawn service business. Telles is also able to help with obtaining business financing with more than twenty-five years in the finance industry.
