Domenic Rinaldi is the President and Managing Partner of Sunbelt Chicago. He was awarded the professional designation of Certified Business Intermediary form the International Business Brokers Association and is considered an expert in the field of business brokerage. He is a seasoned executive who brings over 24 years of proven experience in merger/acquisition, sales, service, marketing and operations to the business brokerage arena.
Domenic’s career began at Sprint Corp, where he spent 13 years in sales and operations. As VP of their Hospitality Division he led a national organization to $250 million in annual revenue. His experience as Chief Operating Officer of an e-commerce travel company offered the opportunity to grow a Silicon Valley startup into an international solutions provider. Additionally, Domenic’s small business experience running a New York City technology company gave him first hand knowledge of the challenges facing business owners. It was at this privately held company he learned the business of raising venture capital and driving a small company to profitability, which ultimately resulted in an acquisition.

Ed has over twenty years of broad-based experience in every aspect of running a small business giving him the skills and knowledge needed to help buyers and sellers achieve their needs.
After graduating with honors from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, Ed began his career in the retail sector, managing a store for a Fortune 500 company. In addition to working with the general public, Ed worked directly with leading businesses giving him valuable business-to-business experience.
The majority of Ed’s career was spent at a national real estate title insurance company, gaining experience in every facet of running a privately held business including marketing, sales and operations. As Vice President responsible of national expansion, he opened 7 offices in 4 states, which doubled existing sales.
As Senior Vice President, Ed spearheaded the centralization of redundant systems, dramatically reducing costs and resulting in a 3 % increase in net profits. Other positions held included controller and Executive Vice President, with particular focus on policy and procedures in accounting and IT.
Ed is a lifelong resident of Chicago and, along with his wife, started and operated a staffing agency focused on finding part-time work for stay-at-home parents and retirees.

Burt has over 25 yrs of corporate and personal business ownership experience that includes accounting, retail operations, and negotiating leases with major national developers. Burt is a CPA and obtained an MBA from Indiana University. He began his career with a “Big Eight” accounting firm in Chicago and followed that with seven years as the Controller of a large restaurant chain.
Prior to Sunbelt, most of Burt’s career was spent founding, operating and selling a 12-store retail chain which was a leader in its industry category. He has experience in all aspects of running his own business. His entrepreneurial experience enables him to bring passion and empathy to the process of assisting owners in the sale of their businesses. In selling one of his own businesses, Burt retained a business broker to assist in the transition. All of these experiences have given him a unique perspective into the concerns of business owners.

Scott Evert, Region Manager and owner for Sunbelt in Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Chicago is a licensed business broker, with over 18 years experience of buying and selling businesses. Mr. Evert has obtained the Certified Business Intermediary (CBI) designation from the International Business Brokers Association. In addition, Mr. Evert is a financial partner in several businesses. Mr. Evert began his career in the early 80's, when he founded a video distribution business that grew to over $10 million in sales with over 100 employees. He subsequently sold his company to Major Video Concepts, a $400 million distributor and became its V.P. of Sales. During his ten year career with Major, Mr. Evert initiated many strategic acquisitions and divestures of companies that ranged in size from $100k-$20 million in sales, as well being instrumental in a $50 million acquisition. Mark Huntzinger brings 25 years of P&L management, sales, marketing, product management, engineering, and merger/acquisition experience to the Sunbelt Team.
Mark has successfully grown revenue and profitability in dynamic markets at both Fortune 500 companies and start-ups. He was also responsible for a number of corporate acquisitions as well as the subsequent integration activities.
Mark most recently engineered turnarounds at Westell’s $65M Network Service Access Division and Charles Industries’ $20M Access & Transmission Business Unit. Prior to that, he was Vice President of Marketing and Business Development for Verascape, an Oakbrook based technology start-up. Previous experience includes senior engineering, marketing, product management and business development positions at several companies including 3Com/US Robotics, as well as a Silicon Valley based start-up that he founded in 1991.
Having founded, bought, integrated, and sold companies, Mark brings a wealth of experience to assist others in doing the same. He graduated from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology with a B.S. and M.S. in Electrical Engineering in 1982 and received an MBA from Harvard Business School in 1987.

Donn held senior positions within the 1,300,000-member National Association of Realtors, the world's largest professional real estate association, where he managed corporate sales, marketing, training and client services. He also held executive positions with the Commercial Investment Real Estate Institute (CCIM), the Realtors Land Institute, and the International Association of Assessing Officers.
Donn is versed in marketing, recruiting, managing the transaction process, and contract negotiations. He is committed to facilitating win/win outcomes for sellers and buyers and is held in high esteem for his ability to creatively help clients resolve issues.

Jim's business experience as a seasoned operations and financial executive includes more than 30 years in industry and professional services. He served on the Board of Directors at Amerequip Corporation, a manufacturer of tractor attachments for the OEM marketplace. There he had a variety of operational and financial responsibilities, serving as VP Supply Management and Planning, and VP Finance. Jim was instrumental in implementing many successful operational improvements resulting in improved cash flow and return on capital invested. He was instrumental in the transfer of the ownership of the Company by developing business plans, projections, and financial models demonstrating the benefits of the transition.
Jim's industrial experience also includes Bell Helicopter, IBM, and International Harvester. For a significant portion of his career he provided consulting services to clients through the management advisory services of the CPA firms Ernst & Young and McGladrey and Pullen. This provided Jim with experience in a wide scope of industries by serving clients ranging in size from the smallest proprietorships to major Fortune 500 companies.
Jim earned his BS degree in Industrial Engineering and Management Sciences from Northwestern University and his MBA from the Wharton School.
Jim adds value to both buyers and sellers of closely held businesses by gaining an understanding of the firms' key success factors, identifying opportunities, performing analyses and developing creative solutions to facilitate the ownership transition process. Art’s career began at Joseph T Ryerson, the largest steel service center in the country, in their Finance Department and advanced to become Asst Treasurer and Controller of the $2.5 billion organization by the end of his 16 year tenure with the organization. Art’s career and experience broadened as the Executive Vice President of a steel framing manufacturer in the Midwest, where he teamed with the President to facilitate the turnaround of this struggling company.
